Founder's Note

Michael Glah, who serves as the company's President, founded International Personnel Resources (IPR) in order to partner with seasonal business owners to grow their businesses by solving seasonal labor challenges utilizing the H-2B program. I first visited Mexico in 1979 for a summer internship. I stayed for five years. I am fluent in Spanish and have worked professionally in Human Resources, Operations, Sales and Management. I have owned and operated two other businesses.

Over the past 15 years I have been involved with a variety of industries' H-2B visa programs recruiting primarily Mexican laborers. I have managed the H-2B certifications for thousands of Mexican individuals. In my experience, a properly managed H-2B program is the best current response to North American Green, Hospitality, and Construction industries' systemic seasonal labor shortages.

The implications of the H-2B program are twofold:

First, seasonal employers that utilize H-2B personnel successfully grow their businesses directly as a result of their significantly increased ability to focus on sales and operations and less on constantly training and retraining new employees.
Secondly, the economic opportunities for H-2B program beneficiaries is demonstrated by the fact that the largest source of income in Mexico today is money sent home from Mexican nationals working in the United States - greater than oil revenues, greater than tourism.
